Creating your own cheap perfumes
We have been fascinated with perfumes for thousands of years. In fact, the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans were known to use perfumes extensively. The first porcelain perfume bottles came out of China. And over the centuries, perfumes served as status symbol. There are literally thousands of fragrances that have been created -- from perfumes to colognes to body splashes. We can find them almost everywhere. However, many of the best fragrances are too expensive for majority of perfume buyers. But then, there are those who are enterprising enough to create and introduce to the market perfumes that are affordable. For this, all you need are a good dose of imagination, some bottles of the essential oils you love, a carrier oil such as Jojoba oil, a glass container for mixing in the liquids, a glass cocktail stirrer (or a toothpick), a pipette and a small bottle for storing your own perfume creation.
Most health stores and aromatherapy outlets carry the oils you need for creating your own fragrance. The other tools you need, you already have at home most likely. When you've got everything you need, you can start making your perfume. First, take a few drops of your favorite essential oil (e.g., vanilla, sandalwood or patchouli) and place it in the glass container. Mix in some Jojoba oil, pour in your perfume bottle and voila! -- you've just created your own signature cheap perfume.
